Do you have old photographs, slides, or negatives at home that you'd like to share and preserve? Good news - the library now has an Epson Perfection professional photo scanner available for patrons to use in the library! This equipment can scan at a resolution up to 1200 dpi, and offers a color-correction option for pictures that have started to turn red with age. Please note that the quality of the scan is entirely dependent upon the quality of the original. If the photograph was blurry to begin with, the digital scan will also be blurry.
Patrons may request to use the scanner during regular business hours, but an appointment is recommended to ensure that the equipment and tech support will be available. Patrons are responsible for providing their own USB flash drive.
For more information, or to make an appointment, please contact the library at 608-527-2003 or staff [at] ngpl.org.
