The library provides a weekly Homebound Delivery Service for patrons who are unable to come to the library temporarily (due to illness, accident or condition) or permanently (due to advanced age, disability or other mobility problems).
How Does It Work?
You'll fill out some paperwork and let us know your interest areas, and whether you want us to choose items for you or if you prefer to place your own holds. Then we'll arrange for a volunteer to bring your library materials once a week.
You can always make adjustments as to what you're getting and how often. Want to skip a week? Just let us know! Need some extra books or DVDs this time? No problem!
Who Can Sign Up?
This service is currently only available to residents within the Village of New Glarus. If you live outside of village limits and are interested, let us know in case we are able to expand the service in the future.
How Do I Start?
To get started, please read our homebound services policy and user guide, and then fill out and return our application. Librarians are happy to answer questions or to help you fill out an application over the phone (608-527-2003).
