Title of Exhibit: Musings of an Artist Musing def: meditation, reflection
I am often asked how I choose the subjects of my artwork. Quite simply, it starts with a musing. Whether my subject is a person, a still life, or a landscape, I like to sit quietly with the scene and see what captures my attention. Sometimes it is the atmosphere, or the mood of an area. Other times it might be the play of light or color, a particularly captivating person, or simply the tranquility of a space. I find that if I allow myself to sit, observe, and reflect, I discover nuances that catch my interest and inspire me to paint and share that discovery with others. This is a collection of subjects that have captured my interest over the past years, the musings of this artist.
